I was there in the beginning when God took my ribs
And formed you and I called you Eve.
I was there in deep slumber and humble weakness
When you were created to be my wife,
When the Lord saw that all was good
And bestowed us in the garden.
I was there, but only away when the ancient serpent came
In his alluring majesty of guile
And made you eat from the forbidden tree.
I did not forget my obligations,
I only tossed my sceptre of authority away
Only to be doomed with you forever 'cause you're my bone
And most of all because I loved you so much.
This love that has turned into madness
This madness that has different faces,
This faces that are frowned by silly unthoughtfulness,
This unthoughtfulness that has begotten remorse,
This remorse that is ill-timed,
This time that is irredeemable.
We had swimed across too many oceans to be broken
We both grew under each's manly scents
Our countenances were enough manual to guide us through
The many questions life stretched forth.
I found strength in your embrace;
We were near perfection in an imperfect world.
You came too early in life
But left too late enough to lure my heart into winning it.
My heart became an island whose soil is a marshland
And you planted on it a tree of memory
That even this inevitable death can't erode.
This is the palace we built with sea sands,
This is the picture you painted in yesterday
I am now living in it alone.
The intuition you helped me mould has formed this lines
But ferocious stillness has bound you to the vault
And here I stand on utter nothingness
Suspended to the wrongs of the world.
I love you before death was born and alive
I will love you beyond death's death
When our perfection would conquer Hades
And we will rile in the other phase in jocund glee.
And formed you and I called you Eve.
